About us

Our mission is simple - “the freedom to seek out the best investment opportunities for our clients, anywhere in the world, whilst subscribing to the belief that active investment management is the most efficient allocator and protector of capital.”

"Freedom is nothing else but a chance to be better."

Albert Camus

Freedom Asset Management Limited ('Freedom') was set up in 2014. Although the name is new, the faces have been familiar to businesses, institutions and private clients around the world for decades.

Our investment beliefs

“If you don't stand for something you will fall for anything.” ― Gordon A. Eadie

• The world has become smaller, markets have become more efficient - this has allowed new markets to emerge which can offer tremendous opportunities.

• Equally, companies in traditional markets are being deprived of capital, because the banks have stopped lending as they struggle to deal with the legacy of the 2008 banking crisis

• We are long term investors not traders - only long term capital builds businesses, economies and jobs and only long term capital raises living standards and allows communities to thrive

• There is no reward without risk - our politicians and central bankers have made sure that interest rates will remain low for decades and yet have regulated our banking system to the point where the banks no longer want to take risks and lend to the businesses that create jobs and support communities

• Investment freedom can only be achieved by being independent of any capital markets business - Freedom is owned by the people that work in the business and we will already have invested in a strategy before we offer it to our clients

Our values

“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” ― George Bernard Shaw

• Transparency: The objective of our strategies is clear and investors can have access to the underlying portfolio or investments. No black box

• Not off-the shelf solutions: we look at niche products, which we believe offer the best access for specific markets with risk and liquidity in mind

• Communicate: we have an open communication policy. Clients have access to the managers who manage their money. We send regular updates on the fund performance and the views of the manager at the time. We offer quarterly conference calls where we explain in more detail our views on the market, fund positioning and performance. In the case of major market events, which inevitably happen, we are always looking to provide insights.

Freedom Asset Management Limited ('Freedom') was set up in 2014. Although the name is new, the faces have been familiar to businesses, institutions and private clients around the world for decades.

Our investment beliefs

Our values

“The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place.” ― George Bernard Shaw
